About the position

As an Engineer - New Grad at Energy Northwest, you will provide essential engineering services and support, focusing on the application of engineering fundamentals to assist in the design modification, operation, and independent assessment of Energy Northwest facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that engineering tasks are performed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization. You will be involved in performing basic analysis and designs that support various systems, programs, and projects, while also engaging in problem resolution through plant processes. Your responsibilities will include assisting in audits, tests, and inspections, where you will utilize your engineering judgment to evaluate results and findings. It is essential to apply appropriate engineering methods under the guidance of supervisors or peers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Energy Northwest policies. You will be expected to complete tasks and assignments on schedule, coordinating with other disciplines to achieve project goals. Additionally, as part of your employment, you will be required to support the Emergency Response Organization (ERO), which includes being on-call 24/7 during your designated team duty, working 12-hour shifts during outages, and providing engineering duty cycle support. This shared responsibility across all engineering positions is vital for maintaining operational readiness and safety at Energy Northwest.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or a PE license obtained by accredited examination.
  • Zero to three years of discipline engineering experience.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
