About the position

The Process Engineer position at a manufacturing plant in Mooresville, IN focuses on the development and improvement of automated manufacturing processes, particularly involving PLC and robotics. The role involves both early process development to enhance equipment design and troubleshooting existing systems to improve efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI hardware/software.
• Collaborate in a team to design and improve electro-mechanical control systems for welding and assembly processes.
• Work with external suppliers to develop and manage new automation systems.
• Provide feedback on customer needs and potential process improvements.
• Support plant-wide equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the development and design of control systems.
• Prepare cost estimates for new equipment.
• Develop documentation for new manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Tech, Automation/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (Preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical product drawings and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills in practical and technical scenarios.
• Experience in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, preferably with Omron.
• Experience with industrial robots, particularly Yaskawa Motoman.
• Ability to perform electrical repairs on 24 volt DC systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
