How will you power what's possible? The Engineer, Plant Process will provide process engineering guidance and support for the assigned plant. This individual will develop systems, methods, and best practices to help move our organization towards operational excellence. The Process Engineer will interface with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvements and standardization in the manufacturing process. Key responsibilities include supporting the modernization strategy through active involvement in commissioning trials and troubleshooting, identifying process improvement opportunities through connected enterprise data and trend analysis, and assisting in the deployment of a center of excellence model for common wire and cable processes. The role requires a mix of technical and hands-on approaches to successfully deliver on new projects and improvement initiatives, as well as supporting new product developments and existing product enhancements by collaborating with R&D and leading process aspects of trials.

Responsibilities

  • Support modernization strategy through active involvement in commissioning trials and troubleshooting.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through connected enterprise data and trend analysis.
  • Review, document, and communicate technical process details into simple and understandable standards.
  • Assist in deployment of center of excellence model for common wire and cable processes.
  • Promote established best practices for process excellence and share best practices to build a centralized knowledge base.
  • Support in achieving cost out targets through process improvements.
  • Deliver on new projects and improvement initiatives with a mix of technical and hands-on approach.
  • Support new product developments and existing product enhancements by collaborating with R&D.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Strong team player with a commitment to continuous improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use big data
  • Self-starter with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement
  • 2-3 years proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably continuous manufacturing
  • Ability and desire to learn technological innovations and applications
  • Software skills in MS Office, SAP, or other ERP systems
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed
