Responsibilities

  • Identification and execution of process improvements regarding yield, scrap, and downtime.
  • Update and ensure adherence to process requirements and documentation, updating as required.
  • Operator equipment training -- develop and update materials used as they relate to equipment. Oversee training of new operators if required.
  • Assist maintenance with complex production problems when support is required.
  • Maintain proper filing and updating of all technical documents related to finishing.
  • Active involvement of machine upgrades - electrical/mechanical/pneumatic as required to improve uptime or first pass yield.
  • Develop and lead product capability & development testing.
  • Work with corporate and sister facilities to implement best practices and facilitate testing and approval processes as required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or related discipline with clear electrical training or experience; understanding of fluid delivery and application.
  • Demonstrated work experience - manufacturing or operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly on the plant floor with process equipment developing process controls and a deep process understanding.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Track record of successful project management.
  • Experience in working in a team environment.
  • Strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills in a production environment.
