About the position

The Engineer Project - Mechanical position at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) involves providing process optimization and engineering support for the Mill. The role focuses on compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality and product safety, and analytical systems support. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to design and implement projects, supervise trades personnel, and conduct data analysis to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide process optimization and engineering support for the Mill.
• Apply engineering principles and procedures to design and implement assigned engineering projects.
• Design, install, and start-up projects being executed.
• Supervise Mill trades personnel and/or contractors during project implementation.
• Conduct data analysis projects and use data to make business decisions.
• Engage in assignments that may include work at higher levels for training and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 0-3 years of experience in Project Engineering or production in the paper industry.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

• Pulp and Paper Industry experience preferred.
