About the position

The Engineer Project Senior role involves managing engineering projects efficiently and within budget constraints. The position requires collaboration with various professionals to develop capital budgets, prepare funding requests, and ensure project specifications are met. The engineer will also provide guidance and support to other engineers and plant management, while leading teams to implement strategic initiatives. This role demands significant travel for project oversight and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects in a timely manner and within budget.
• Develop capital budgets with professionals/paraprofessionals.
• Prepare and submit funding requests for approval.
• Research equipment standardization, availability, and sparing philosophies.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to other engineers, plant management, and operations in areas of process technology.
• Prepare project specifications.
• Lead teams to implement plant-wide initiatives and strategies to meet long and short plans.
• Obtain vendor and contractor quotes.
• Communicate status of projects with senior management.
• Lead and review MOC's.
• Participate in PHA activities and incident investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Process Engineer, Refinery Engineer or related role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Project Management and methodology.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and appropriate codes.
• Familiarity with ASME and API standards.
• Experience in developing and managing capital budgets.
