About the position

The RF Engineer at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses for total systems. This role involves designing, developing, and testing radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems, as well as implementing signal processing algorithms. The engineer will work within a small team to develop system concepts and ensure effective testing methodologies in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products.
• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Conducts functional analysis and timeline analysis.
• Develops system concepts and signal processing algorithms.
• Works as part of a small team to architect, develop, and implement signal processing algorithms.
• Employs test assets in customer-driven test objectives.

Requirements

• 0 years experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks.
• Proficiency in implementing or maintaining signal processing algorithms written in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with modeling and simulation of signal processing algorithms.
• Experience analyzing large data sets.
