About the position

CCI Facility Support Services, LLC is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with expertise in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or Robotics. This role involves CAD design, structural and kinematic analysis, and electrical systems integration, aimed at supporting engineering projects at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create component and assembly drawings using CREO or equivalent CAD software.
  • Interpret, review, and develop mechanical and electrical systems drawings and specifications.
  • Perform kinematic analysis and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to mechanical designs.
  • Conduct structural analysis using ANSYS or equivalent simulation tools to ensure design integrity.
  • Integrate electrical circuits and components into mechanical assemblies, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage expertise in aerodynamics to influence system designs for UAS and robotics applications.
  • Provide program management oversight to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Present technical data and project updates to internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production and meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent field of study.
  • A minimum of 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing background.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass background checks and gain access to customer facilities.
  • Strong CREO or equivalent CAD software experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard drawing practices and ability to read, interpret, and create component and assembly drawings.
  • Competency in kinematic analysis and GD&T.
  • Program management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly.
  • Experience with ANSYS or similar tools for structural analysis.
  • Solid understanding of electrical circuits, components, and integration into mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics as it applies to UAS and robotics.
  • Hands-on background in manufacturing processes and practical experience in solving real-world engineering problems.
