About the position

The Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer at Constellation is responsible for advanced technical problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. This role involves making technical decisions, providing in-depth expertise, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations. The engineer will manage engineering analysis and activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in their work while contributing to the company's mission of leading the clean energy future.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
• Manage engineering issues and perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
• Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 5 or more years of solid performance with the last two in the top half of the Engineering 2 band.
• Demonstration of FLSp competencies.
