About the position

The Senior Data Visualization Designer at UVA Medical Center will focus on developing and deploying innovative data visualizations to support the healthcare system's analytics and reporting needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and creative vision, working closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centered data visualization models that facilitate data-driven decision-making for healthcare providers and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy data visualizations for the UVA health system to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop user-centered data visualization models.
• Create Tableau dashboards and reports for healthcare providers and clinical staff to support data-driven decisions.
• Interact with leadership across various departments to understand objectives, formulate metrics, and gather data requirements.
• Analyze data, identify patterns and trends, interpret results, and present findings through data visualizations to inform leadership decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of experience as an Engineer Senior, Data Visualization Designer, or in a related occupation.
