About the position
The Software Test Engineer at Spectra Logic Corporation plays a crucial role in the Test Engineering Group, focusing on the automated validation of emerging market storage solutions. This position involves designing test plans and cases, implementing automated test infrastructure, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Designing test plans and test cases using various technologies that are precise, accurate, repeatable, maintainable, and clean.
- Performing root cause analysis on issues found to develop regression tests.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering development departments to facilitate knowledge transfer for new projects and products.
- Effectively communicating with other development groups to provide necessary information for bug fixes.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in an Engineering or related field or 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience with Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, or other enterprise data management solutions.
- Strong analytical, diagnosis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with basic System Administration for Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment where requirements and priorities can change quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with HW and SW integrated solutions.
- Ability to use scripting languages to increase testing efficiency.
