About the position

The Structural Engineer position at Thornton Tomasetti involves applying engineering principles to design and analyze various types of buildings and structures. The role focuses on collaborating with architects and other engineering professionals to create innovative solutions for projects ranging from cultural buildings to healthcare facilities. The engineer will work within a BIM environment to prepare construction documents and ensure compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing for various building types and materials using applicable building codes.
• Coordinate design work with in-house staff and other design professionals, including architects and engineers.
• Prepare construction documents within a BIM environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of current industry software, including SAP2000, ETABS, Ram, StructurePoint, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
