About the position
The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in leading and managing the technical aspects of complex structural engineering projects for a well-respected design and construction company. This position involves developing advanced structural designs, conducting field assessments, and addressing construction challenges while ensuring compliance with standards and driving innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of advanced structural designs.
- Conduct field assessments to evaluate project requirements.
- Solve construction challenges effectively.
- Collaborate with senior project managers, design engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
- Drive innovative solutions in structural engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects.
- P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is required.
- S.E. (Structural Engineer) license is a plus.
- LEED certification is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF viewing software.
- Ability and curiosity to learn new software.
