About the position

As a Structural Engineer at Constellation Energy, you will be at the forefront of advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. This role is critical as it involves making technical decisions that impact the safety and efficiency of our operations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge in structural engineering and its practical applications, along with a deep understanding of industry codes and regulations, to ensure that our engineering practices meet the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include providing in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs. You will be directly involved in identifying and resolving equipment and system problems, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed accurately and on time. This includes managing engineering issues, performing independent research, and conducting reviews and analyses to support various technical projects and programs. You will also be responsible for recommending new equipment, concepts, and techniques aimed at improving performance, simplifying construction processes, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with evolving codes and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work at various levels, including Mid-level, Senior, or Senior Staff Engineer, depending on your qualifications and experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Manage engineering issues and ensure task completion.
  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance and comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of Nuclear or related engineering experience for Mid-level Engineer.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 7+ years of engineering experience for Senior Engineer.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 10+ years of engineering experience for Senior Staff Engineer.
