About the position

The position involves performing advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support power plant operations. The role requires acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers, making technical decisions, and managing engineering analysis and technical programs. The engineer will ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations while providing in-depth technical expertise and leadership in engineering activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise in consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations.
  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field for Engineer 1.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with two (2) years experience for Engineer 2A.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with three (3) years experience for Engineer 2B.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with five (5) years experience for Engineer 3A.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with seven (7) years experience for Engineer 3B.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) for all levels.
  • Engineer in Training Certification for Engineer 1.
  • Good grasp of techniques and understanding of fundamental functions for Engineer 2A.
  • Demonstrated collaboration across engineering and site functions for Engineer 2B.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading cross-functional initiatives for Engineer 3A and 3B.
