About the position

The Test Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of Insulet's software products by designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts. This mid-level position requires collaboration with various teams to identify defects and improve product quality through effective automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Python based framework and open-source tools.
• Work closely with software engineers to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Collaborate with manual QA engineers, software developers, and Systems engineers to design and develop non-functional automation.
• Maintain existing automated test codebases and repositories.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and test robustness.
• Provide feedback to development teams to improve product quality and mitigate future issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in automated test development.
• Strong programming skills in Python and other languages.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON data format.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development Systems such as Jenkins.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency with source control tools and applications.
• Proficiency with defect tracking applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years' experience in automated test design and development and functional and non-functional testing, or a Master's degree with 1+ years' experience.
