Responsibilities

• Provide accurate layout drawings and material lists for engineered lumber products.
• Utilize design tools and software applications to support the specification of structural frame products.
• Produce comprehensive framing layouts for floor, roof, and wall systems.
• Conduct design calculations for single structural members.
• Offer design consultation to dealers, builders, contractors, architects, and engineers to address framing challenges.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent construction industry experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints/construction documents.
• Background in wood framing construction.
• Working knowledge of CAD and/or estimating applications.
• Certification in structural/architectural drafting.
• Knowledge of statics, mechanics, and materials.
• Previous experience as a designer or estimator.
