About the position

The Engineering Administrative Assistant at Hyatt is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Engineering. This role involves managing various administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations within the engineering department, and contributing to the overall guest experience through effective service and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Submitting purchase orders and maintaining the department checkbook.
  • Keeping track of payments to ensure invoices are paid and up to date.
  • Completion of employee schedules and payroll submission.
  • Maintenance and follow-up of the work ticket system.
  • Maintaining records of all inspections and repairs.
  • Data entry and reporting for the energy management program.
  • Arranging and preparing for department training classes.
  • Preparing contracts for execution.
  • Maintaining contracts and insurance certificates for all hotel vendors.
  • Maintenance of Life Safety Reports.
  • Assisting the Director of Engineering with Capital Projects.
  • Assisting with guest room preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Previous administrative experience preferred.
