About the position

The Engineering and Technical Service Manager at Midwest Combustion Solutions is responsible for leading the service engineering team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing technical support operations, and providing training and development for new talent. Responsibilities

  • Lead the service engineering team to ensure timely and effective delivery of services to customers.
  • Develop and maintain service standards and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement strategies to address any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex customer issues and escalations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and improve customer experience.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest engineering trends, technologies, and methodologies, and incorporate them into our service offerings.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery processes.
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance and solutions to meet their engineering needs.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor service engineers to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to support their professional development.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • Set clear expectations and goals for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Understand customer engineering requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance throughout the service process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional engineering products and services.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
