Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is seeking a dynamic individual for the career-driven Assistant Manager of Engineering position. We are looking for an experienced Engineer who demonstrates leadership behaviors and skills. You are an individual who is genuine, caring, and compassionate with a passion for hospitality, possessing integrity and accountability. You will maintain a strong presence within the resort, allowing your personality to shine through. You will lead with inspiration, supporting and encouraging your team so that they can achieve success together. You must be certified in AED/CPR and First Aid, and a Certified Pool Operator. You must have current knowledge of all New Mexico and local laws on safety and sanitation. Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, and compressors is essential. You should have 2+ years of managerial experience in an engineering/mechanical service industry, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment, and a solid engineering background. Your schedule is flexible, and you must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Commit to being a team player whose actions show care about the team, the safety of the resort, and achieving success together.
  • React quickly to change and multi-task, assisting with resort operations as needed.
  • Take the lead as project manager, working with the Director of Engineering to ensure deadlines are met and all details are followed up on.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of building maintenance and operate computer equipment effectively.
  • Oversee and prioritize duties, ensuring scheduled work is completed timely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and follow up on necessary items, including scheduling, ordering, and initiating all projects.
  • Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders, liaising effectively with the engineering manager.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies, and rules to ensure an efficient department.
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair multiple areas of the resort, including kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, counseling, and evaluating the performance of maintenance staff, including making spot checks on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of managerial experience in an engineering/mechanical service industry, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Solid engineering background with knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, and compressors.
  • Certification in AED/CPR and First Aid.
  • Certified Pool Operator certification.
  • Current knowledge of all New Mexico and local laws on safety and sanitation.
  • Ability to react quickly to change and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong command of the English language and bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk the resort, and lift up to 50 lbs.
