About the position
The Engineering Associate 1 (Distribution) position at US Tech Solutions involves supporting engineering projects related to power distribution systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited School
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Math or Science
- Professional Engineer's License (PE) in lieu of the above bachelor's degree
- Previous Distribution Engineering Experience is a plus
- Distribution and/or related Engineering experience with a power utility company is a plus
- Experience in Utility industry or related field
- 2-4 year degree from an Accredited School is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Proficient with MS Office products and other related engineering software systems
- Strong Technical Engineering Skills and understanding of Power Systems
- Knowledge of general engineering and construction principles
- Knowledge of electrical system operations, distribution systems, underground and overhead construction practices
- Prior experience in writing and executing switching orders
- Working knowledge of ARMS, JETS/JETS, Scheduling, Designer/GIS, CSS, Socket, DistView, TCMS Web, NJUNS, EDEN, OUA, and OFS
- Knowledge of the Franchise Manual, Distribution Bulletins, Engineering Handbook/Specifications, Distribution Operating Procedures, ARC Flash Requirements, Metering Blue Book, Consistency Manual and the Financial and Business goals
- Ability to prioritize and organize work to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent project management skills that lead to desired results
- Ability to work with customers and others as a team member
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Good attitude and ability to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of NESC
