About the position

The Engineering Business Office Intern at Magna Powertrain will assist the group office team with various tasks including data research, comparative analysis, and communication between product engineering and project teams. This role is designed for individuals currently pursuing a college degree and offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic automotive technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist group office team with data research and entry.
• Maintain the engineering quotation database and track quotations through the approval process.
• Improve quote status reporting using internal tools for automation.
• Support eQuote Manager in preparing reports on eQuote costs distribution by competency, region, and product.
• Participate in the resource development process using Magna's portfolio management tool (PlanView).
• Create reports for resource utilization and competency maps.
• Support the annual update of engineering competency records.
• Develop employee surveys to gather feedback on IT tools and business processes.
• Support the Magna Powertrain product engineering Planview implementation team as needed.

Requirements

• Currently attending a college or university.
• Some related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
