About the position

The Engineering Co-Op position at Almac Group in Audubon, PA, is designed for students currently enrolled in engineering programs. This full-time role will support the Engineering and Maintenance functions in commercial packaging operations from March 2025 to June 2025. The co-op will engage in various engineering tasks aimed at improving machine performance, implementing new processes, and enhancing productivity through sound engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering management in analysis of machine performance and identify and implement corrective measures to increase productivity for existing processes.
• Assist in the implementation of new processes and equipment to support future projects.
• Apply engineering principles to improve existing equipment, packaging design, and processes by reducing waste and increasing throughput.
• Analyze line performance and changeover performance to provide unique solutions to issues and opportunities.
• Understand maintenance challenges and utilize problem-solving tools for continuous improvement to minimize downtime and defects.
• Gain knowledge of cGMPs and complete documentation and reports to support plant operations.
• Present findings and progress to Senior Management on a monthly basis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a 4-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in a professional working environment.
• Coursework, projects, or experience demonstrating high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint).
