About the position

The Engineering Construction Group Manager for Transportation at Trillium Professional is responsible for managing and administering transportation construction projects. This role involves overseeing construction staff, assisting with business development, client coordination, and ensuring efficient project execution. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and human resources management skills, along with the ability to develop and implement quality control and safety plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer transportation construction projects.
  • Oversee and manage all construction staff to ensure high efficiency and strengths.
  • Assist with business development and project pursuit management.
  • Coordinate with clients and manage overall project planning.
  • Provide work assignments and review performance of staff.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, safety plans, and schedules.
  • Complete weekly/monthly reports on work progress and conduct status meetings with management.
  • Coordinate and direct staff and subconsultants.
  • Perform direct reports performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited program.
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction management.
  • Licensed professional engineer.
  • Proven work experience with IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, counties, and municipalities.
  • Understanding of transportation construction processes and standards (IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, FHWA, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of roadway construction, construction details, and relevant rules and regulations.
  • Proficient with business and engineering applications, including Microsoft Office, Microstation, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team and leadership skills.
