About the position

R&P Technologies is seeking a dedicated Engineering Control Systems Technician to join our dynamic team in Pascagoula. As a small-sized defense contractor, we specialize in providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, and Technical Services to government clients. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced and exciting work environment, where they can contribute to critical defense projects. The Engineering Control Systems Technician will play a vital role in the installation, integration, operational testing, and evaluation of software and firmware for various systems, including Main Propulsion, Electrical Power Generation and Distribution, and Auxiliary Systems. In this role, the technician will be responsible for maintaining and tracking delivered software, firmware, and software patches through the use of derived configuration management databases. They will also review Industrial Test Procedure CDRLs for technical accuracy against ship specifications and sub-tier references, ensuring that all systems meet the required standards. Additionally, the technician will support Builders, Acceptance, Final Contract, and Special Trials, contributing to the successful delivery of projects. Candidates should possess a strong background in integrating and troubleshooting LPD Class Engineering Control Systems, with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with LPD Network System Level integration is a plus. A Secret clearance is required for this position, reflecting our commitment to maintaining security and compliance in all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides installation, integration, operational test and evaluation of software and firmware for Main Propulsion, Electrical Power Generation and Distribution, and Auxiliary Systems.
  • Maintains and tracks delivered software, firmware and software patches through the use of derived configuration management databases.
  • Reviews Industrial Test Procedure CDRL's for technical accuracy against ships specifications and sub-tier references.
  • Supports Builders, Acceptance, Final Contract and Special Trials.

Requirements

  • ACAT Level I LPD experience is preferred.
  • At least 7 plus years experience integrating and troubleshooting LPD Class Engineering Control Systems.
  • LPD Network System Level integration experience is a plus.
  • Secret clearance is required.
