Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department, including project managers, engineers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve engineering and organizational goals.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Business Development, to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and performance evaluation for the engineering department.
• Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is a requirement.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical background with expertise in heavy industrial capital project erection using process machinery and pressure vessels.
• Proven ability to adjust to client's expectations in varied industries such as oil refining, natural gas industry, specialty chemical and food industries.
• Strong knowledge of B31.1/ B31.3 piping design as well as typical in line devices.
• Proven work history in facility design.
• Proven experience in managing complex multi-disciplined engineering projects through conception to completion.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
