About the position

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design using various CAD software. The Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed drawings, models, and designs for a variety of projects, ensuring accuracy and meeting project deadlines. This position requires a mechanical inclination, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in teams. The candidate should possess an associate's degree in Drafting or a related field, along with an intermediate level understanding of drafting principles associated with technical drawing creation of individual parts and assemblies. Additionally, the candidate must have at least 2 years of experience with Creo and AutoCAD, while experience with Adobe Illustrator is preferred but not mandatory. The Drafter will prepare scale layouts, assemblies, and details based on designs and/or specifications, including rough sketches to meet business partner requirements, utilizing a CAD system (Computer Aided Design). This includes providing accurate dimensions to define appropriate views of parts and assemblies by drawing orthographic projection and isometric views. The Drafter will also define the number of components necessary to complete assemblies and will be responsible for obtaining and communicating information to business partners relevant to shop work orders, purchase requisitions, project evaluation sheets, time sheets, project status, and other information. Furthermore, the Drafter will gather and compile necessary information to generate scale layouts and will work closely with machine shop personnel, designers, and engineers regarding design specifications and prototype design. The role also involves incorporating purchased and fabricated components into scale layouts and completing documentation packages on assignments. Attendance at design project reviews may be required as requested.
