About the position
The Engineering Inspection Technician at Atalys, LLC is responsible for providing inspection reports to ensure that manufactured products adhere to specified drawings, specifications, and processing procedures. This role involves using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other measurement equipment to validate new tooling and modifications, as well as ensuring quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform first article inspections/layouts meeting PPAP and SCR requirements to validate new tooling and tooling modifications.
- Create detailed work instructions for inspectors to measure critical dimensions during production.
- Perform capability studies for IQ/OQ/PQ requirements.
- Conduct Gage R & R studies.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years proven experience in inspection or quality control.
- Knowledge of general measurement equipment (gage pins, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, drop indicator, etc.).
- PCDMIS experience preferred.
- OGP Smartscope experience preferred.
- Print reading and GD&T Standards knowledge required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills.
- Understanding of fixture development and datum structure.
- CMM programming skills required.
