About the position

CallRail is seeking an Engineering Manager for AI-enabled products to lead a cross-functional team in delivering high-quality features and products. The role focuses on team management, project oversight, and continuous improvement of delivery operations while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Grow our product by motivating the team to support delivery of products and features.
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to prioritize projects that align with company goals.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Continuously monitor and improve delivery operations for the team.
  • Advocate for technical work, ensuring prioritization of technical projects and improvements.
  • Provide feedback and communicate clear expectations to the team.
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable direction for teams.
  • Support teammates and ensure inclusivity and value within the team.
  • Hire, onboard, and retain engineers, contributing to the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience as an engineering manager or significant operations team lead experience.
  • Experience managing software engineers.
  • Experience managing projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience working on AI-enabled products.
  • Ability to foster and lead diverse, healthy teams.
  • Experience in development within an agile environment, focusing on fast cycle times and continuous deployment.
  • Experience building software with security and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience working on a Software-as-a-Service product.
  • Experience in a company experiencing rapid growth.
