About the position

The Engineering Manager at fairlife, LLC is responsible for overseeing the creation, design, and execution of capital projects within the organization. This role involves leading a project management team, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The Engineering Manager will also communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate project implementation to align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safety and quality culture required for a world class organization.
  • Manage a team of engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Manage communications to the Technical Capability Director, R&D, Engineering, Commercialization, and other necessary groups.
  • Partner with vendors and consultants to develop plans for process systems and enhance facility performance.
  • Implement engineered solutions and utilize technical resources both internal and external to fairlife's network.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of capital projects with engineers and project managers, including budget management and project scheduling.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders, implementing changes as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for processing and quality expectations in dairy processing, VTIS/UHT operations, and related areas.
  • Understand the interdependencies of process systems and supporting utilities, managing the impact of equipment changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in CPG manufacturing.
  • 1+ years in the dairy industry (dairy experience required, Aseptic/ESL experience preferred).
  • Ability to update P&ID's, mechanical/electrical prints (CAD/SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive issues.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, organizing and prioritizing work assignments.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CAD/SolidWorks for engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with dairy processing and quality expectations.
