Clari's Revenue platform provides forecasting accuracy and visibility from the sales rep to the board room on revenue performance, helping organizations identify revenue leaks and determine if they will meet, exceed, or miss their sales goals. This platform is utilized by leading companies worldwide, including Okta, Adobe, Workday, and Zoom, to enhance revenue accuracy and precision. The Engineering Team at Clari is dedicated to building an enterprise-grade platform that serves as the backbone for our customers' critical business processes. Our mission is to create the ultimate revenue intelligence platform, rooted in Agile principles, fostering a culture of adaptability and efficiency across all teams. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the Data Platform team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining the systems that ingest, enrich, transform, and provide data powering key Clari features, from Analytics to Forecasting. In this role, you will lead a talented team of software engineers in a collaborative environment, focusing on two main areas: RevDB-schema generation and migration, and data transformation and loading. You will be instrumental in building a state-of-the-art time series data platform that processes over 20 million workflows daily, with the goal of scaling it to handle over 200 million workflows. Your responsibilities will include motivating and coaching your team, ensuring the product's success in a fast-paced environment, and driving the adoption of engineering best practices. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering leadership, product managers, and customer success teams, to shape and evolve Clari's technology stack and execute the technical roadmap for the product. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work from any location in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Play an instrumental role in building our state-of-the-art time series data platform that processes 20M+ workflows daily, and help scale the platform 10X to 200M+ workflows daily
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering leadership, architects, product managers, customer success leadership and application analysts to help build and scale the product
  • Motivate, engage, coach and provide leadership to a team of talented software engineers while building an environment that is conducive to their development and delivery to the best of their ability
  • Own the responsibility for making the product successful in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, with a deep focus on quality, scalability and architecture
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving Clari's technology stack to support our ambitious roadmap
  • Collaborate & communicate across global product and engineering teams to plan, prioritize and execute the technical and architectural roadmap for the product
  • Continually improve engineering operations and processes through data-driven decision making
  • Drive the adoption of key engineering best practices to improve the quality and reliability of the team's deliverables

Requirements

  • 4+ years of managerial experience leading and building successful engineering teams and delivering products to customers
  • 8+ years of professional experience in hands-on software development, including object-oriented design (Java preferred)
  • Experience building data-intensive applications
  • Deep understanding of OOP, design patterns and data modeling with a focus on performance, code quality, and scalability
  • Experience managing applications in a production environment that support high availability and resiliency, and low latency at scale; exposure to managing production outages and remediations
  • Strong experience developing and managing SaaS products in the public cloud (AWS preferred, GCP, Azure)
  • Creative thinking, adaptability and excellent problem solving skills
