About the position

Uber is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Marketplace Investments Modeling team, responsible for leading a high-performing group that develops and optimizes budget and pricing strategies for Rides and EATS. This role involves ownership of team growth and product development, contributing to critical aspects of Uber's core technology related to pricing, incentives, and marketplace health.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Marketplace Investments Modeling team.
• Oversee the development and optimization of budget and price level setting for Rides and EATS.
• Make decisions on incentive spend allocation to balance revenue, growth, and marketplace health.
• Redesign pricing levers and expand the team's footprint to include Delivery.
• Collaborate with other teams within the Marketplace (PIMS) organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering management, particularly in machine learning or data science.
• Strong understanding of budget and pricing strategies in a marketplace context.
• Experience with incentive spend allocation and its impact on revenue and growth.
• Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
