About the position

Uber is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Marketplace Investments Modeling team, responsible for leading a high-performing group focused on developing and optimizing budget and price level setting for Rides and EATS. This role involves team building, technical leadership, multi-functional collaboration, and ensuring operational excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and operations to develop a vision and roadmap for the team.
• Collaborate with data scientists and other engineering teams to understand requirements and integrate different ad products into the data and reporting platform.
• Implement thorough operational excellence practices to ensure trust and robust mechanisms to detect issues and recover from failures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms in production environments.
• Experience in leading teams to build scalable mission-critical systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum 2 years of management experience.

• Base salary range of USD$218,000 - USD$242,000 per year.
