About the position

The Engineering Manager for Cloudflare Stream will lead a team of engineers focused on developing innovative video and media products. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in building innovative video and media products.
• Shape the product vision and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Oversee the execution of engineering projects to meet commitments and deliver predictably.
• Inspire and motivate the engineering team to reach higher performance levels.
• Balance feature development with operational engineering work.
• Implement tools and processes to resolve blockages and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Technical leadership experience, either managing a team or as a technical lead.
• Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
• Experience in software design and building distributed systems.
• Proven ability to plan, build teams, and oversee project execution.
• Experience in managing projects with tight deadlines and short release cycles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with media handling at scale, particularly images and video.
• Familiarity with low-latency real-time environments such as game streaming or high-frequency trading.
• Expertise in data analysis and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience managing contributions to open-source projects.
