About the position

The Engineering Manager - Platform at Watershed is responsible for leading the Footprint and Calculations engineering teams, which are essential to the company's internal engineering product teams and customers. This role involves empowering engineers, shaping the engineering culture, and collaborating closely with product, design, and go-to-market teams. The manager will play a crucial role in recruiting and onboarding new team members while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Footprint and Calculations engineering teams.
• Manage a team of 10 engineers.
• Inspire and guide the team through growth phases.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and GTM teams.
• Recruit and onboard new engineering team members.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 8+ years of overall developer and management experience.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers.
• Strong platform engineering background.
• Good product sense and experience working closely with customers.
• B2B experience, with enterprise SaaS experience being a plus.
• Experience developing products is a plus.
• A mix of startup and big company experience is a plus.
