About the position

The Engineering Manager - Print Operations at Pactiv Evergreen is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of printing operations, ensuring quality maintenance and profitability improvements. This role involves managing significant capital projects, vendor relationships, and providing technical guidance and training to site employees. The position requires a strong background in engineering and printing processes, with a focus on troubleshooting and process development.

Responsibilities

• Support all technical aspects of printing for Pactiv Evergreen, focusing on quality maintenance and profitability improvement.
• Manage significant capital projects including requisitions, vendor visits, acceptance testing, and training of site technical employees.
• Oversee all PTVE printing vendors and develop process methods and controls to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot printer issues and product defect printing issues.
• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and training to resolve issues and educate site employees.
• Lead and support new equipment, process, and product trials and production start-up efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable experience in dry offset printing.
• At least 7 years of applicable dry offset printing experience.
• Experience with printing equipment such as Polytype, Van Dam, Kase, Oms.
• Recognized as a technical leader and key resource in the field.
• Knowledge of electronics and PLCs preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities.
• Familiarity with Computer Based Maintenance Management Systems.
• Supervisory experience with contract personnel and technical associates.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
