About the position

The Engineering Manager - Operations at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards are met while improving profitability. This role involves managing significant capital projects, vendor relationships, and providing technical guidance to site employees. The position requires a strong technical background in engineering and experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in dry offset printing.

Responsibilities

• Support all technical aspects of manufacturing for Pactiv Evergreen, focusing on quality maintenance and profitability improvement.
• Manage significant capital projects including requisitions, vendor visits, acceptance testing, and training site technical employees.
• Oversee all PTVE manufacturing vendors.
• Develop process methods and controls to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and product defect issues, providing technical guidance and training to resolve them.
• Lead and support new equipment, process, and product trials and production start-up efforts.

Requirements

• BS in an Engineering discipline with at least 7 years of applicable dry offset printing experience.
• Consideration for candidates without a BS in Engineering if they have comparable experience.
• Experience with printing equipment such as Polytype, Van Dam, Kase, Omso.
• Recognized as a technical leader and key resource.
• Knowledge of electronics and PLCs preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities.
• Familiarity with Computer Based Maintenance Management Systems.
• Supervisory experience with contract personnel and technical associates.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
