About the position

The Engineering Manager will lead teams within the Growth department at DoorDash, focusing on driving global marketing strategies and scaling organic growth efforts. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize customer experiences and enhance visibility in organic search, while managing a diverse team of engineers across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full-stack team with iOS, Android, web, and backend engineers.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define the roadmap and vision for the team.
• Inspire the team with a technical vision and create alignment necessary for execution.
• Build an outstanding team by coaching engineers and empowering them through delegation.
• Recruit, retain, and develop highly talented engineers across different disciplines.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with non-technical stakeholders and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to design scalable solutions.
• Ability to guide and grow an engineering team in a rapidly changing environment.
