About The Position

The Engineering Manager for Software - Customer Post Order Experience at Genuine Parts Company is a leadership role responsible for architecting and implementing the technology strategy for the company's unified commerce platforms. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering delivery, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in design, architecture, and development of modern UI and microservices.
• Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting responsive front-end software solutions.
• Strong background in front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React and Vue.
• Experience with cloud computing on major providers (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to all levels of the business.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with programming languages such as Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest.
• Experience in leading and building scalable eCommerce microservices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the cross-functional GPC team to implement the strategy and roadmap for modernizing the Unified Commerce experience.
• Implement technology platforms architecture and execute on the roadmap to support new commerce-related capabilities.
• Oversee engineering accountability for Unified Commerce Experience applications, including Order History, Invoices, and Payments pages.
• Deliver and support the platform effectively.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and research teams to integrate design systems and build reusable front-end applications.
• Lead multiple pods and manage engineering managers.
• Promote agile methodologies across the organization to enhance collaboration and innovation.
• Recruit, manage, and motivate a team of engineers and engineering managers.
