About the position

As an Engineering Manager at Kaizen Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and testing of innovative web and mobile applications. This position is fully remote and is structured as a 12-month contract. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring that tasks are assigned effectively and that project milestones are consistently met. Your leadership will be crucial in enhancing the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of processes and product designs, with a strong emphasis on reducing waste and improving overall productivity. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and other leaders to drive product success. You will oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring that all efforts align with the strategic goals of the organization. Your ability to lead scrum meetings and agile ceremonies will be essential, as will your strategic thinking skills to build and maintain high-performing teams. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, utilizing your strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to foster a collaborative work environment. The position requires a hands-on approach, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project management. You will be expected to leverage your proficiency in data analytics to drive decision-making and adapt to changing priorities as necessary. Your organizational, planning, and documentation skills will be critical in managing multiple projects at various stages of development simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and testing of innovative web and mobile applications.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, assigning tasks and ensuring project milestones are met.
• Continuously strive to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of processes and product designs, with a focus on reducing waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other leaders to drive product success.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical project management.
• Hands-on experience with React JS, React Native, JIRA, GIT, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project management.
• Ability to lead scrum meetings and agile ceremonies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in data analytics, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
• Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders using presentation software.
• Capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of development simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Scrum Master/Project Owner certification is preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
