About the position

The Engineering Manager at Actalent will serve as the subject matter expert in both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. This role involves direct management of a team of 10-15 engineers who are dedicated to electromechanical product development. The Engineering Manager will oversee the entire product realization process, which includes guiding projects from the initial stages of product conceptualization through to sustainable manufacturing practices. This position requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles, as well as the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers. In this role, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for project planning, budget management, and ensuring that all engineering efforts align with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in product development and realization, with a focus on design for manufacturing (DFM). The Engineering Manager will also be expected to foster a collaborative environment, encouraging team building and effective communication among team members. This is a fully on-site position located in Lenexa, KS, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving innovation and efficiency within the engineering team.
