About the position

The Engineering Manager will lead a team in the metal stamping industry, focusing on overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
  • Utilize expertise in stamping, AutoCAD, Shopview, and design to oversee and manage projects from conception to completion.
  • Generate BOMs and perform calculation documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their engineering needs and provide innovative, effective solutions.
  • Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
  • Participate in budget development and oversight, effectively allocating resources to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering management role, preferably in the metal stamping industry.
  • Proven experience with stamping, AutoCAD, Shopview, design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate BOMs and perform calculation documentation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely, high-quality completion.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and regulations, with a commitment to upholding these in all engineering processes and projects.
