About the position
The position involves managing tooling and manufacturing as well as controls engineering functions. The role requires leading cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts, managing the capital budget and projects, and supervising members of the engineering department. The individual will track engineering-related spending against the budget, analyze processes, and implement standard work procedures. Additionally, the position entails designing and improving control systems and software to optimize the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Manages tooling and manufacturing & Controls engineering functions.
- Leads cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manages capital budget and projects.
- Supervises and directs members of the engineering department.
- Tracks engineering related spending to budget.
- Analyze processes and implement standard work procedures.
- Design & Improve controls systems and software to optimize manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Broad technical and analytical engineering experience as applied to product design, manufacturing and process development as usually evidenced by completion of a degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- Strong proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, and automated control systems.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to communicate to groups, both written and orally and lead team activities.
- Self-starter.
