About the position
The Engineering Manager will lead a cross-functional team focused on the design, development, and continuous improvement of appliances. This role emphasizes collaboration with various departments to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards, while overseeing the entire product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the product development lifecycle, from concept through production, ensuring that projects meet technical, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Manage ongoing product improvements, including updates, modifications, and issue resolution to optimize product performance and extend product lifecycle.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to address production challenges and implement cost-effective improvements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in product development, from design to production, and sustaining engineering within consumer electronics.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
