About the position

The Engineering Manager will serve as the subject matter expert in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, assisting the Engineering Director in developing talent and establishing engineering processes to support client projects. This role involves direct management of 10-15 engineers focused on electromechanical medical device product development, overseeing the product realization process from conceptualization to sustainable manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• Assist the Engineering Director in developing engineering talent.
• Establish engineering and technical processes to support client projects.
• Directly manage 10-15 engineers focused on electromechanical medical device product development.
• Oversee product realization from early conceptualization through sustainable manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in product development and realization.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience in recruiting and hiring engineering talent.
• Budget and performance management skills.
• Project assignment planning experience.
• Electro-Mechanical product experience.
• ISO 13485 experience (preferred).
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Analytical skills and collaboration abilities.
• Effective communication and team-building skills.
