About the position

The Engineering Manager at Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) is responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and designers focused on maintaining the safe and compliant status of facilities within the D4 scope. This role involves overseeing engineering processes, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, and participating in project planning and scheduling activities. The position plays a critical role in supporting the remediation efforts at the Hanford site, contributing to environmental protection and community safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of engineers and designers to maintain the safe and compliant status of facilities within the D4 scope.
• Ensure compliance with all CPCCo Engineering requirements, including configuration control and engineering procedure requirements.
• Appoint and qualify Design Authorities and technical staff authorized to perform engineering functions.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.
• Engage with management levels within the project and regulatory agencies as necessary.
• Foster an environment where employees can raise safety issues and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering or equivalent scientific discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience (Manager Grade 20) or 10 years of relevant experience (Manager Grade 21).
• At least 4 years of nuclear experience is required for both grades.
