About the position

The Engineering Manager at System One is responsible for leading the detailed process design and project execution strategy for capital and maintenance projects within the Solvent business. This role involves managing a team of engineers and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high design standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed process design and project execution strategy for capital and maintenance projects.
• Ensure capital projects are executed on a prioritized basis with effective designs for on-time completion within budget.
• Support plant troubleshooting and improvement efforts.
• Develop the design, project engineering, and construction management skills of engineering team members.
• Manage the operation and strategic planning of the Honeywell PKS control system.
• Set process design standards and practices for the MCH site and implement improvements to stay current with industry best practices.
• Communicate with the MCH Process Safety Manager regarding shared engineering resources and project engineering priorities.
• Coordinate with the MCH Capital Projects Manager on capital spending planning, project scheduling, and vendor practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Broad experience in process design, project execution, and process operations.
• Direct management experience and development of employees.

Nice-to-haves

• State of Texas Professional Engineering license (encouraged but not required).
• Honeywell training in programming the Experion PKS system (can be obtained after starting).

Benefits

• Salary range of $130,000 - $180,000 with a 15% bonus.
