About the position

The Engineering Manager at Rm Lucas Co is responsible for leading the engineering and maintenance teams to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency within a manufacturing plant environment. This role requires a strong engineering background and aims to improve processes while building operational teams that support business growth. The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing and is expected to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate engineering and maintenance teams.
• Plan and execute capital improvement projects on time and within budget.
• Collect and analyze data to resolve production issues.
• Utilize root cause analysis tools to improve processes.
• Promote safe work practices and reduce workplace injuries.
• Implement processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Engage with research and development for new product scaling.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Analyze production formulas and batch instructions to optimize quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical or manufacturing environments, with silicone batch making preferred.
• Experience in TPM pillar implementation or lean manufacturing.
• Project management experience with a focus on capital improvements.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection and problem-solving.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automation to reduce cycle times and enhance safety.
• Supervisory experience leading small teams.
