About the position

The Vice President of Native Mobile UI Development at Goldman Sachs is responsible for leading the Mobile Platform team within Core Engineering. This role focuses on enhancing mobile development experiences by providing secure and compliant SDKs and services to developers, thereby improving app delivery times and reducing maintenance costs. The position requires innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall velocity and stability of mobile products within the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Mobile Platform team to enhance mobile development experiences.
  • Provide developers with secure and compliant SDKs and services.
  • Improve app delivery times and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage global teams.
  • Drive innovation in mobile application development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience with native iOS and/or Android application development.
  • Two (2) years of experience with mobile SDK development including API design, versioning, packaging.
  • Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
  • Strong grasp of Swift/Objective-C, UIKit/SwiftUI for iOS; or Kotlin, Layouts/Jetpack Compose for Android.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
  • Familiarity with cocoapods and Swift Package Manager.
  • Experience working with medium-to-large code bases in version control systems such as git.
  • Ability to script in shell, python or ruby is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
