About the position

Cox Communications is seeking an Engineering Operations Senior Analyst to play a pivotal role in enhancing business processes across Engineering, Product, and Operational teams. This position is crucial for analyzing current operations and identifying areas for improvement, ultimately driving solutions that optimize performance. The analyst will engage with various technical and engineering teams to define and document requirements, develop concepts, and validate solutions against the original business needs. The role encompasses ensuring that all systems function seamlessly from end to end, supporting Network Enablement, Operational Enablement, and Product Enablement phases. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from concept through trial and certification, across these phases. Key deliverables include the Business Requirements Document (BRD), project charters, scope definitions, project schedules, and various management tools such as RAID logs and change management plans. Utilizing industry-standard project management knowledge and techniques, the analyst will work to achieve the stated objectives of each project. In this role, the Senior Analyst will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze needs and translate them into detailed requirements, while also managing the business requirements lifecycle across the delivery portfolio. This includes ensuring the centralization, standardization, and version control of documentation artifacts. The analyst will serve as a liaison between business owners and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business objectives. Additionally, the role involves leading technical delivery activities related to Network, Operational, and Product Enablement, including project scope, implementation plans, and budget management. Regular communication with stakeholders through status reports and briefing decks will be essential to keep all parties informed of project progress and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into detailed requirements.
  • Manage business requirements lifecycle across the delivery portfolio and ensure centralization, standardization, and version control of requirements documentation artifacts.
  • Serve as liaison between the business owners and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business objectives.
  • Validate capability delivery against original business intent by leading/participating in solution design reviews and user acceptance testing as required.
  • Lead all technical delivery activities related to Network Enablement, Operational Enablement and Product Enablement, including project scope, implementation plan, project schedules and project budget.
  • Develop leadership communications such as briefing decks and status reports for executive and program stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to develop systems, components, processes, and device definitions while adhering to company operations and development standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports; track key project milestones and adjust plans/resources as needed.
  • Communicate major milestones, critical delivery paths, and identify potential project risks; conduct regular status meetings to review project activities.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field, or a master's degree with 2 years' experience, or a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years' experience in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of engineering or related disciplines and processes.
  • Demonstrated business analysis, requirements documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop and refine deliverables and incorporate feedback in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading matrixed programs in a Telecommunications/Engineering environment.
  • PMP and/or Business Analysis certifications are desirable but not required.
